Import & Export of Textiles and Garment in Jan. 朜ov. 2012

In September and October, China磗 exports of textiles and garment registered fast growth, but in November the growth slowed down with a year-on-year growth of 2.9%, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles and Apparel said in a report.

In November 2012, the export of textiles and garment dragged the foot of national export with growth rate far lower than the national average level. Although the export value of knitted goods and woven garment ?the most important items among exported textiles and garment ?maintained certain growth, the export quantity dropped by about 2%.

Figures from the customs show that in November of 2012, China磗 exports of textiles and garment amounted to US$ 23.13 billion, up 3.1% year-on-year. The export amounted to US$ 20.97 billion, up 2.9%; the import amounted to US$ 2.16 billion, up 5.7%, with a trade surplus of CNY 18.81 billion, up 2.6%.
